9 Weeks Today!

Hello Everyone-

Wanted to give you all a baby update and send some pictures. We went to the doc and had another U/S today. Baby's heartbeat was 170 BPM and is measuring in at 2.53 cm. When she was doing the U/S (I had to have a vaginal U/S) and started moving the wand around the baby started squirming around.....so cute and awesome to see! I am 9 weeks today, and still very sick and pretty miserable. Today made up for all of that though. We also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time as well which was neat. I go back in 2 weeks and hopefully will be on a month by month schedule as long as everything checks out OK. Thanks for all of the prayers. Still spotting....but nothing heavy....but scary when it happens. We are so happy and excited about our little "peanut".

New Addition and Doctor's Report

So I took 7 tests on Saturday and it looks like Jeff and I are going to have a baby. We had a scare last night though. I started bleeding some. I called the doctor and I went in this morning. This is the email that I sent out to family and friends this morning:

I first off want to say thank you for all of the prayers. We went to
the doctor this morning and got good news so far. They did a vaginal
ultrasound and saw the sac. There was no heartbeat, but the doctor
said to not be alarmed because it was too early to see one. They did
find 2 cysts on my right ovary. The doctor looked at the films and
said that everything looked normal. Then he did an exam and said that
my cervix was closed and that everything looked fine. He did say that
for insurance purposes they have to call it a threatened miscarriage.
However, he did say that he did not think that that was what it was at
all. I am to stay off of my feet today and start moving back around
tomorrow. If I start bleeding I am to call them. If everything is fine
then I go back Tuesday and they will do another exam and ultrasound.
They said that I should hopefully see a heartbeat then. I really liked
the doctor that I saw, he was very nice. I will see a different doctor
Tuesday. When I saw the blood last night I of course started crying. I
told Jeff that I could not believe that I could love something so much
that was so small and making me sick. I have a horrible fear of
doctors, but that all went out the window and I was eager to be
examined to see that our beautiful baby was OK. Please continue to
keep us in your prayers as we go along this exciting and scary
journey.

Love-

Eve

The loss of a loved one

Today was a very sad day in my house today. Jeff woke me up, and told me that Morris was breathing funny. I went downstairs to check on him and his gums were very pale and he was taking shallow breaths. I put him in a crate and Jeff rushed him to the vet. Jeff called me in a few minutes to give me the bad news. Morris had died on the way to the vet. He was attacked a few weeks ago that almost killed him. He went through very invasive surgery and extensive treatment. He was doing so well, but he lost his battle today. He was such a sweet guy. he adopted us about a year and a half ago. Someone dumped him off here and took to us immediately. I love and cherish the time we got to have with him. I just wish it had not been cut so short. Please keep us in your prayers as we deal with his sudden death.

A New Doggy Addition To The Family

Some of you may not know how passionate I am about animals. If you do not know...then let me tell you...I am VERY passionate about them. Jeff and I work with a rescue group called Mostly Mutts. You can visit them at www.mostlymutts.org. Jeff does the website. Anyways, so Jeff and I started fostering the little black dog in the above pictures a few months ago. He had been hit by a car, and his pelvis was broken along with other injuries. After months of rehabilitating him we have decided to adopt him. He gets along well with our two older dogs Big and Dakota. This makes our 7th dog and our 13th animal. I know that some of you think that this is crazy or even gross to have this many animals. But these are my full time job, and Jeff and I work very hard at keeping the house and the animals clean. They are our family. We love each and every one of them. I will be posting blogs about my animals from time to time and I will add pictures to introduce them to you. What can i say? I love my babies!! Oh! By the way, the 13 are: 7 dogs, 1 cat, 1 sun conure parrot, and 4 guinea pigs!
